In the past year of 2014, we exported total 7,200mt of raw material which from catching area FAO 60 in China. It was quite special year for tuna market that more difficult than few years back, because the price kept falling down day by day till the bottom of valley. In the mean time, we were too worried to continue our new factory building, therefore we only finished cold storage to start freezing till end of December 2014, but we planed to finish all factory construction include canned plant and loin plant in June 2015, then start production processing of loin and canned by the NEW BIGGER FACTORY in September 2015. 
With Chinese New Year (on 19th February 2015) coming soon, holiday for our workers will be from 10th February to 10th March, total one month holiday for workers who are far from their hometown. Normally workers only can go back hometown 2 times per year due too full production capacity everyday in factory. Holiday for office will be 14th February to 25th February, total only 10days that follow China Law. But you still can contact us freely at any time during our holiday. 
Anyway, all of King Marine friend, Happy New Year and hope 2015 will be a harvest year

FAO Fish Price Index - 13 January 2015 update

The fish price index (FPI) relies on trade statistics. Seafood is heavily traded internationally, thereby exposing non-traded seafood to price competition from imports and exports. Easily updated trade data can thus proxy for domestic seafood prices that are difficult to observe in many regions and costly to update with global coverage. Calculations of the extent of price competition in different countries support the plausibility of reliance on trade data.

Overall, the FPI shows less volatility and fewer price spikes than other food price indices including oils, cereals, and dairy. The FPI generally reflects seafood scarcity, but it can also be separated into indices by production technology, fish species, or region. Splitting FPI into capture fisheries and aquaculture suggests increased scarcity of capture fishery resources in recent years, but also growth in aquaculture that is keeping pace with demand. Regionally, seafood price volatility varies, and some prices are negatively correlated. These patterns hint that regional supply shocks are consequential for seafood prices in spite of the high degree of seafood tradability.
